It's soo late ...
I was renovating last week. Fixed all the walls and prepped for painting. It's easy to fall in the trap that you're ready to roll ..
Was I making the same mistake again? I was ...
I'll tell you what it was in a moment. But first you need to understand what happened.
Had one week to finish and it was already Thursday afternoon at 5!
And I was so proud to finally start painting! I bet you can already see something happened!
I dutifully dipped the painting roll into the paint. And rolled it onto the wall. Then half of the paint ended up on the floor. And the other half all over on me! ...
Something was seriously wrong. It's not the first time I do this!
So I look at it better. The roll is new. But it looks strange. I ask my partner what she bought:
She swears she didn't buy the cheapest paint roll. On the contrary - it was an expensive one because she could predict I will pick on it.
She was right. But not in the way she thought! This roll was perfect for rolling on decorative mortar!
On exterior walls ...
So with the best intentions and effort we ended up with a perfect mess! What did we learn again?
We wasted another 2 hours in the shop. Being late became even later!
I know you know why I am telling this. No? Because You are a professional.
But are you using the right tools?
Trying to do good work with the wrong approach, knowledge or techniques. We had an expensive and high quality roll yet it was completely unsuitable for what we were doing.
Using the wrong approach can not only hinder progress but work against you!
You may waste years developing and getting promoted with much effort.
Know what is most risky in that? You are relying on LUCK to get ahead.
You can apply yourself much more effectively getting a mentor. Who was there and done it.
Today you don't even know what you don't know. Tomorrow you can advance much faster.
Every Winner has a Coach
All successful people I know have a mentor! Do you suspect that EVERYONE who succeeds invests in mentorship? Ask the successful people around. They’ll tell you.
I fixed the problem after she put this tool into my hand.
YOU don't have to wait until you're getting paint sprayed all over!
Want results?
Cheers,
Alex
