Insights from a career in Systems Engineering. Reflections on concepts and approaches translated into down to earth language that you can apply at work and in life. No ads. No listicles. No shitGPT. Unsubscribe any time.
I don’t teach Systems Engineering theory. Professors and training companies already do that. I show you how to actually make it work when the stakes are high and the constraints are real.
Most SE practitioners are bogged down by complex frameworks that look great on a whiteboard but fall apart in a frantic corporate environment. I’m a career architect who works in high-impact bursts to clear that confusion. My focus is on the "how-to": the pragmatic application of SE tools, processes, and techniques that provide visible, provable value to your project right now.
What I do:
If you’re looking for a theoretical lecture, go to a university. If you need to build something that works within the limitations of your current job, let’s talk.
From Test Engineer to Systems Engineering Pioneer and Technical Leader
Having started my career as a Test Engineer at SiemensVDO Automotive, I quickly discovered a passion for innovation. I reduced a two-week testing process to just 20 minutes with an automated tool, demonstrating my early aptitude for problem-solving.
Over the years, I've held roles in Test Management and Systems Engineering, spearheading the establishment of new departments and advancing strategic initiatives. My experience spans automotive, aerospace, and technology sectors, where I've led cross-functional teams and delivered complex projects.
Today, as a leader at Horiba MIRA, I'm driving cutting-edge technology in Connected Autonomous Vehicles and mentor young engineers. My journey has been one of continuous learning and growth, fuelled by a relentless pursuit of excellence.
Fluent in Engineering! I am a certified Seasoned Systems Engineer (INCOSE CSEP) with 20+ years’ experience in the automotive industry working with leading international companies such as Jaguar/Land Rover, Continental Automotive and GE Aviation.
This is a time to reflect and give back, helping others to learn and benefit from my experience.
I'm on a sustained mission to self-improve while pulling up others too and getting things done in an effective manner.
My complicated content plan is to share what I'm learning along the way and help others easily understand what I found challenging. If you're interested in topics like:
