GE Aviation identified a gap between EMC planned testing and the detailed test procedures, while developing a complex product. Engaged as Systems Integration Architect to lead a Tiger-team to determine, document and agree all the necessary information for writing the detailed test procedures and building the automated test equipment. Set up the mini project team, kicked-off and defined the project scope and success criteria, liaised with all specialists and stakeholders and led the definition and implementation of the resulting work packages. Managed to drive the project to completion under a tight 3-month schedule, compared to the history for similar work, programme and team size, that took 2 years before. A Six-sigma black-belt involved to help translating this approach into a structured process for the future.

Jaguar Land Rover (Chassis Brakes) had difficulties controlling requirements and structuring processes. Engaged as Systems Engineering expert to address inconsistencies & realign working practices. Elicited, defined & structured engineering approach; rolled out project; supported, trained & mentored staff; conducted reviews/QC for better configuration management; liaised with key stakeholders for full/clear communication interfaces; and ensured internal/external clarity & control. Jaguar Land Rover initiated an internal cross-department audit to assess the Systems Engineering maturity and capability, at the request of Senior Management. Engaged in the multi-departmental auditor team as Certified Systems Engineering professional to develop and improve the approach, distribute the chosen audited projects within the team and run the auditing sessions. Worked with the teams, helped them uncover gaps and risks, and more importantly succeeded to get them to understand and appreciate the importance of deliberate and rigorous Systems Engineering practice, that is reaching much beyond just Requirements Engineering.
